This says "lan astaslem," which is Arabic for "I will not surrender/I will not submit." I got it from Michelle Malkin's blog.

By the way, what's with all the Shriners' red fez hats that have the Islamic scimitar/crescent and star? In fact, they even have the word Islam written on them. I saw a bunch of them at a 4th of July parade of all things. Well, lan astaslem.
